the midtown garden inn has two heated pools that are great to relax in. the staff was very courteous and provided attentive service during our stay, especially when we were escorted to our room. the location is close to various attractions, making it convenient to explore.

cozy room but lacking maintenance in the bath

The staff was friendly and check-in was swift. The overall ambience of the common areas was inviting, and the garden area looked well designed. I appreciated the effort to renovate parts of the hotel, as it shows potential.

However, the bathroom cleanliness seriously detracted from my stay.

I had a pleasant stay, enjoying the surprisingly quiet atmosphere at night and comfortable beds. The restaurant provided decent food, which exceeded my expectations. However, the hallway carpets could use a serious overhaul.

The pool was also closed, which was a huge letdown for our kids. If only the facilities were open for family fun, it would have made our stay much better.

The room we got was really not what we expected. Furniture was outdated and a bit worn down. Cleanliness was lacking, with some spots that clearly needed attention. We had to switch rooms right away because the first one looked like it was on its way to being renovated. The second room was better but still felt kind of old and tired. Not the best vibe at all.

So we just spent a night here and honestly, it was kinda disappointing. The room was cramped, and while the bed was comfy, the shower was slippery and downright dangerous! On the plus side, breakfast was included, but it really wasn't great. Overall, it had potential, but definitely needs some work to be worth the price.

Just a balanced option for a passing visit in Phoenix with good value for cost. David at the front desk was really helpful with directions to a great nearby restaurant. Check the room cleanliness before settling in.
